Life in New York City makes for a good story and CITY LIFE, the new four-part series from Thirteen/WNET, lets New Yorkers tell their stories their own way, in their own words. Witty and gritty like New York itself, the programs feature the very people we encounter every day, like fellow subway riders and diners in the next booth. As for the people we've always wondered about -- cops on the graveyard shift, guerrilla poster hangers, streetwalkers in the shadows -- we meet them, too. Through their real-life dramas, CITY LIFE tackles a variety of urban issues that affect us all and define who we are as New Yorkers.
Each half-hour program in the CITY LIFE series is devoted to a different theme: "Seeking Community," "Looking for Love," "Making It," and "New York at Night."

Some of us enjoy sharing our stories with others. Some of us like to keep diaries to guard our private thoughts. The City Talk Bulletin Board is one way you can share your stories with us and others.
If you've got a good New York story you'd like to share, logon and have your say. Our first topic: "Looking for Love." One problem singles face is that it's pathetic to talk about being single. It's not pathetic to be single, but that's another story.
So, to add insult to injury, we'd like you to talk honestly about the pros and cons of being single in the "naked city." Wouldn't it be fun to hear other people's ideas and war stories? If you prefer to submit directly to CITY LIFE and not post a public message to our Bulletin Board, please email us at citylife@thirteen.org.
