New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will deliver his fifth State of the City address on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 7:00 PM, at the sumptuous Kings Theatre in Brooklyn. It’s the first of his second and last term as mayor of New York City. The speech will also be live-streamed on www.nyc.gov and embedded here on THIRTEEN.org. Mayoral spokesman Eric Phillips told Politico on Sunday, “It’s not a policy blueprint for the year, but a vision for our city’s civic life for the years ahead. There will be bold initiatives, but it will not be a conventional laundry list of big ticket items. Read the Politico article here.

The Gotham Gazette reports that de Blasio is expected to talk about his newly branded quest to make New York City “the fairest big city in America.”
