Training Actually Improves Brain Function and Intelligence

Can exercises make you smarter? Can exercising make your brain more fit as well? The New York Times recently reported that a University of Michigan study showed that memory training exercises can increase intelligence.
Similarly, Dr. John Ratey this year published the book “Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain“. His book explores the connection between physical exercise and the brain’s performance; that even moderate exercise can sharpen memory and improve function.
He talks to journalist Richard Wiese as part of the Brainwave Festival, a multimedia festival which runs throughout New York City through June.
