Submit Your Thoughts, Ideas, Video for new Eco-special
Monday, March 9th, 2009

Planet Forward is a new PBS special, hosted by Frank Sesno. They want YOUR input towards the program. The television show, airing April 15, will feature the best online submissions on the topic of ‘moving away from fossil fuels’, which will be discussed by a diverse panel of experts, scientists, business leaders and policy-makers. Deadline for broadcast: March 31.

Dear friends,

I’d like to suggest you investigate the role of the meat industry, particularly the cattle industry, in global warming. The United Nations has published a study on this. Conversely, the question can be asked about the possible contribution of plant based or vegan diets to reducing global warming.
