NATURE Zoo Tour 2008 Comes to NYC

This Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18, join PBS Nature for special events at the Bronx Zoo.
Zoo visitors can participate in a series of special activities and performances this weekend. Here are some highlights from the full schedule:
- Watch twice daily “fish frenzies” in which the Bronx Zoo’s sea lions eat between 12 and 35 pounds of herring and capelin.
- Gather round as experts tell stories about the wildlife of Latin America.
- See traditional Asian dance performances at the Wild Asia Theater.
- Witness “enrichment sessions” with monkeys and tigers, where trainers keep the animals fit and work on various behaviors.

The events this weekend at the Bronx Zoo are part of the NATURE Zoo Tour 2008, presented by Toyota. The NATURE Zoo Tour launched Earth Day and will continue through July.
