Alan Alda Introduces New Site and Future Series
Friday, July 25th, 2008

We’re excited to announce the launch of The Human Spark web site. A three-part series to be broadcast on PBS in 2009, The Human Spark will follow Alan Alda in his quest to find the answer to one question: “What is the nature of human uniqueness?”

Watch the video introduction by Alan Alda, where he lays out the role that the site will play during the run-up to the premiere. Before the series premieres on television, you can follow the behind-the-scenes action online, as Alan visits with dozens of scientists on three continents — and even undergoes an examination of his own brain. The site will feature regular blog updates from the production crew, including Alan; Graham Chedd, Series Producer; and Larry Engel, Director. In addition, the production crew will be highlighting stories in the news related to the central themes of the series.

Thank you to Thirteen’s Jared Lipworth and Stephanie Carter, as well as to Graham Chedd and Maggie Villiger and everyone else at Chedd-Angier-Lewis for their help and for sharing our excitement for this project.
