Web-Exclusive: Extended Interview with Rep. Charles Rangel
Friday, December 19th, 2008

In an extended interview with Rafael Pi Roman, Rep. Charles Rangel discusses the stimulus plan, tax policy, and the allegations of ethical lapses that are swirling around him.

Pi Roman asks specifically about the charge that Rangel may have preserved a tax loophole for a company because it made a million-dollar donation to a new graduate school that will bear his name. This charge and others are part of an ongoing investigation by the House Ethics Committee.

Congressman Rangel also reveals that New York State Governor David Paterson has already made up his mind about who he will appoint to replace Senator Hillary Clinton and has shared the decision with him. 47 minutes.
