Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

The film “Burning Season” kindles both sides of the climate divide in Indonesia and explores whether capitalism can step in where altruism has so far failed to succeed. (Film back online as of 7/30/08!)

To understand more about how market forces can be used to protect the environment, listen to three different carbon entrepreneurs from around the world and find out the top twenty global carbon dioxide emitters. You can also calculate your own carbon footprint and find out how much global warming pollution you create through routine activities.

Welcome back Aaron Brown. Have been waiting for your return. Wonderful to have your intellectual perspective and dignified appearance on the air once again.

What happened? The full episode was available yesterday for viewing with 3 comments (some not so favorable). I happened to think the story was great and intended to play the full episode for my MBA preparation class at Indiana University. But, not only was the link deleted but so were the comments.
This is not really a comment but a question to whoever makes these decisions. I could not find another link to pose this question…

In addition, the hyperlink under “Burning Season” leads you to the Wide Angle story titled “Ladies First”. What’s up?

I also think the story was excellent, and wanted to play the full episode on Monday 7/28/08 for my MPA – Managing Across Sector Bounderies class at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Please let me how to get a copy.
