No recent Republican has won the presidency without the help of evangelical Christian voters, according to NOW on PBS “God and Politics 2008.” Sen. John McCain has been busy reaching out to evangelicals over the last month, preparing a plan for getting them to turn out to vote in 18 battleground states this fall, according to The New York Times, “Evanglicals Are Still Wary Despite McCain’s Outreach.”
