Money, Money, Money…and the Candidates
Thursday, April 10th, 2008

Republican frontrunner John McCain faces a financial dilemma. He may have access to only limited funds this summer, thanks to a government campaign finance program that prohibits a candidate from spending any privately-raised funds. Senator Barack Obama, on the other hand, has raised $55 million in February alone and an additional $40 million in March, according to The New York Times. Find out more about the public financing program for presidential candidates on NOW. You can continue to follow the money for the 2008 election on opensecrets.org–a “social networking tool” that illustrates links between candidates and donors.
