Israeli Prime Minister Will Step Down

Plagued by recent scandal and controversy, and with calls for his resignation happening within his administration (for months), Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced today he will resign following the next election primary (read story on ynetnews.com).
Olmert is under two separate criminal investigations, one involving a local (Long Island, New York) businessman (see NY Post).
