Prospects have brightened a little for Sen. Hillary Clinton against Sen. Barack Obama. In fact, she’s moved slightly ahead of Obama in the national AP poll and she leads Sen. John McCain by 9 points. Hillary Clinton, sort of a combo of chameleon and The Terminator will, it seems, do anything to achieve what she appears to view as her entitled place as US President. She has run a really ruthless, dishonest campaign and is not the best qualified candidate. Yes, the irrelevant Reverend Wright affair has been used shamelessly and exploited endlessly by the media. People want to know about jobs and healthcare and our foreign policy. Why do they keep playing those chosen and edited clips over and over???
Obama has already separated himself from Wright; why should more be needed. If “Guilt by Association” is our measure, Obama is the person LEAST associated with questionable interests. What about John Haggy?
What about Mark Rich? What about all the folks Clinton and McCain OWE BIG TIME? And, most of all, what ever happened to Separation of Church and State? Why is religion or what one’s former pastor says of any concern anyway. It appears that the commercial media are running this campaign. They are CORPORATIONS, no? Methinks they must have a vested interest in shooting down Obama. I think I’ll go and prune my garden….Leslie Wile, Weston, CT
