New York Times business columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin hosts a new seven-part television series featuring interviews that address the evolving economic crisis affecting New Yorkers. The show focuses on issues such as the city’s infrastructure and the effect the crisis is having on cultural programs.
Featured interviews:
Richard Parsons, director of Citigroup Inc., former CEO and chairman of Time Warner Inc., and a co-chairman of the Mayor’s Commission on Economic Opportunity in New York, Parsons will analyze Governor Paterson’s January 7 State of the State address and the state’s budget crisis.
Ellen Zimiles, co-founder and CEO of Daylight Forensic & Advisory, lends insight into Bernard Madoff’s alleged $50 million worldwide Ponzi scheme.
Steve Forbes, chairman and CEO of Forbes, and editor-in-chief of Forbes magazine, will discuss the bailout of the auto industry, taxes, and President-Elect Obama’s economic stimulus package.
Airing consecutive Thursdays at 8 p.m. for seven weeks (excluding January 22), the 30-minute series premieres January 8 at 8 p.m. on Thirteen and at 11:30 p.m. on WLIW21.
Andrew Ross Sorkin is The New York Times’s chief mergers and acquisitions reporter and a columnist. He is the editor of DealBook, an online daily financial report he started in 2001, and an assistant editor of business and finance news, helping guide and shape the paper’s coverage.
