‘Cult of Sincerity’ Online, on thirteen, or in a Brooklyn Bar
Thursday, August 21st, 2008

This week’s Reel 13 indie feature, Cult of Sincerity, holds a unique place in the history of the internet…it was the first full-length feature film fully streaming on Youtube. It looks better on TV (airs Saturday,
8/23 at 11:15pm, + 2 rebroadcasts), but you can watch the whole thing online here. (read more.)

Or, if seeing a film on TV is still too visually cramping, the filmmakers will specially screen the film (simultaneous to the broadcast) at Williamsburg’s Stain Bar, one of the many Brooklyn locations used in the film. (See article in Brooklyn Paper.)

‘Cult of Sincerity’, which was completed this year, will be screened at 11:15 pm on Aug. 23 at Stain Bar (766 Grand St. at Humboldt Street in Williamsburg). For information, call (718) 387-7840 or visit www.stainbar.com.
