New York Nightlife circa 1974
Wednesday, April 16th, 2008
The word “nightlife” usually conjures images of dancing, drinking and genial debauchery, but here it’s all about the darker side of the night. Thirteen’s 51st State looked into nighttime in New York City in this amazing snapshot of our city in the ’70s. Not for the faint of heart, they follow a runaway (homeless, drug-addicted) teen, spend a night in the emergency room, and investigate the Fulton Street Fish Market in the wee hours. 12 minutes.
