Jerry Della Femina created a legendary advertising career with campaigns for Joe Isuzu and the singing cat of Meow Mix. He discusses consumer psychology and the current state of his industry.

New York Times business columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin hosts this seven-part television series featuring interviews that address the evolving economic crisis affecting New Yorkers. The show focuses on issues such as the city’s infrastructure and the effect the crisis is having on cultural programs.

It’s the Economy, NY airs Thursdays at 8:00 pm through the end of February 2009.

I don’t think Barry Diller was anything useful to your program. He makes sweeping statements that are obvious to anyone but offer little real methods or solutions. It is really an insult to the level of intelligence of the viewers of public television.

Having been an advertising regulator, I found the program very interesting…really liked the concept and found Sorkin an excellent host.
Keep up the stimulating…no pun intended…work.
