In July 2005, a secret warehouse archive of much-feared National Police was discovered, documenting the 30 years of state-sponsored violence against the country’s indigenous population during the country’s civil war. A California tech company is helping to sift through the papers to see if they will reveal what happened to more than 45,000 Guatemalans detained and vanished during that period. Watch story…
