Interviews: Martin Landau; Debbie Harry
Friday, January 9th, 2009
In honor of one year of Reel 13, Thirteen interviews two of the stars in the January 10 movies. Neal Gabler interviews Martin Landau, who originally appeared in Hitchcock’s North by Northwest, and Richard Pena talks to Deborah Harry, who stars in the indie film My Life Without Me. Watch now.
Martin Landau
(10 minutes)
Landau dishes on Cary Grant, tells us about yet another Hitchcock practical joke, discusses his collaboration with Tim Burton for Ed Wood, and talks about his new movie Lovely, Still.
Debbie Harry
(7 minutes)
Harry examines the difference between performing as an actor vs. performing as a musician, talks about her role in the indie film My Life Without Me (2003) and working with Sarah Polley.

I love the Saturday night Reel 13 films but, any true film fan would expect the widescreen letterboxed
version if the particular film was originally presented in that aspect ratio. West Side Story was shown in a pan and scan version. Will North by Northwest be letterboxed?
unfortunately, the version of NxNW obtained is not letterboxed.
