“Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson” opens in select theaters over the July 4th weekend. In preparation for the film’s release, Charlie Rose sat down with director Alex Gibney and two of Thompson’s closest colleagues: magazine editors Jann Wenner (Rolling Stone) and Graydon Carter (Vanity Fair).

I saw this segment and am really looking forward to this doc, which is getting good reviews so far (although reviews have said it kinda glosses over Hunter’s last few, less productive years).
BTW, Wikipedia says the last in his fascinating collection of personal letters will finally be published in Feb. ‘09. Cant wait!
