Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

Tune in to see “The Waterfalls: Making Public Art” tonight at 8pm on Thirteen, but also visit our new site all about Public Art.

The site contains:

Promos for The Waterfalls/Public Art documentary (entire documentary will be online this week), and web-exclusive video interviews with artist Olafur Eliasson, plus Mayor Bloomberg and Deputy Mayor Harris (TK!).

A Google map showing the major public art works that will be on display in NYC during summer 2008.

Videos from Creative Time, a NYC-based organization that commissions public art works all around the country (and in NYC).

Other videos about public art from Thirteen: an interview with Christo and Jeanne-Claude about the Gates project from 2005, an interview with David Byrne about his ‘Playing the Building’, up during summer 2008, and more.
