John Updike, American Novelist, 1932-2009
Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Updike, most famous for his four ‘Rabbit’ novels, passed away on Tuesday of cancer at age 76. Over his lifetime he was awarded the Pulitzer not once, but twice, and published more than 50 books. See more about Updike from PBS programs.
