Gwen Ifill Interviews Eartha Kitt
Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

One of Eartha Kitt’s last interviews was conducted by Washington Week’s Gwen Ifill for the Historymakers program “An Evening With Eartha Kitt” (airs on Thirteen in March 2009). You can listen to an mp3 of the interview at Newshour, or see a video excerpt. Ms. Kitt passed away on Christmas, 2008.

bonus: 30 seconds of Eartha Kitt singing at the Cafe Carlyle in 1999, from the Thirteen program City Arts.

I totally want to support the goals of THE HISTORY MAKERS and I would like to order the DVD “EVENING WITH EARTHA KITT” and information on other recorded program with HISTORY MAKERS. I WISH YOU EVERY SUCCESS.

I am so bummed. There was a contact to order the Eartha Kitt/Gwen Ifill interview for $19.95. I dialed immediately and was told, No, we don’t have it. So how do we get it. It was well worth owning?

I watched your Interview with Miss Kitt, two weeks ago, and found it delightfully entertaining! It was a pleasure just hearing her voice again. Her passing has left a Giant Hole in my HEART!!! Every time I think about her not being here I CRY!!! She was the WIND BENEATH MY WINGS!!! MS. KITT will ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART!!! I MISS HER LIKE HELL!!!
