  1. Ellen says:

I haven’t seen an actor smoking a cigarette on TV in a long, long time. Is there a reason that Charlie Rose decided that PBS was the place to bring this practice back? I support both Channel 13 and WLIW but the next time I see PBS promoting smoking, I’ll end my support. Charlie and Sean Penn should continue talking about AIDS. But why aren’t they worried about example they are setting for young people regarding smoking? Why aren’t they worried that they may be encourging many of these young people to smoke? Why aren’t they worried about the deaths that will occur to many of those young people as a result of smoking? Is it ok to die from smoking as opposed to dying from AIDS?
