  ANNIE: It’s the Hard-Knock Life, From Script to Stage
  The show stopping musical ANNIE, its characters and songs are timeless and classic! It's been 35 years since the little orphan Annie first stepped foot onto a Broadway stage. For ANNIE's return to Broadway, PBS presents “ANNIE: It’s The Hard Knock Life — From Script to Stage,” a documentary which offers a memorable behind the scenes look at every step of a single ANNIE production number, through the earliest phases of discussion among the creative team, rehearsals with actors, to opening night on Broadway. Through the song and staging of "It's the Hard Knock Life," viewers will be introduced to the work of the actors who play the orphans and the professionals who impact, shape and contribute to the final production on stage of “It’s the Hard Knock Life.” From the choreographer to the set designer to the costume designer, viewers will experience “ANNIE: It’s The Hard Knock Life — From Script to Stage.”

  Great Performances at the Met – “Les Troyens”
  Met Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi leads a rare revival of Berlioz's epic, based on Virgil's Aeneid. Marcello Giordani stars as Aeneas, the Trojan hero whose adventures take him from the fall of Troy to the shores of the North African kingdom of Carthage. Deborah Voigt sings Cassandra, the Trojan prophetess who tries to warn her countrymen of the dangers about to befall them, and Susan Graham makes her Met role debut as Dido, the Carthaginian queen who gives her heart to Aeneas with disastrous consequences. The five-act epic is seen in Francesca Zambello's critically acclaimed production. Mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato hosts.

  Secrets of the Dead – Ultimate Tut
  Ninety years ago in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings the greatest archaeological find in history was made: The discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb and its golden treasures. It made Tutankhamen the most famous name in ancient Egyptian history. But the real story has become shrouded in myth - with many mysteries around the tomb unsolved to this day. Now in this two-part special, we bring together the latest evidence from a team of archaeologists, anatomists, geologists, and Egyptologists, to build the ultimate picture of Tutankhamen. Blending 3D graphics, stylized reconstruction and action-adventure forensic investigation we take a 21st century approach to ancient history. We will follow genuinely new scientific research and present fresh insights into how Tutankhamen was buried, why his tomb was the only one to remain intact, and the enduring enigma around how he died.
